Accutool is a successful Irish owned engineering company based in Damastown, Dublin 15. Current customer sectors include medical implants, chemical, pharma & biopharma, general medical, and aircraft.
The company is now looking to recruit high caliber staff to provide sales and marketing support.
Title: Sales & marketing
Reporting to: MD
Location: Western Europe.
Summary of position: The Technical Sales person will call on tier 1 & tier2 customers with the objective of securing contracts for precision machined components which Accutool have the capacity to manufacture.
They will support the smooth running of our marketing function, prospect for sales opportunities and deal with sales enquiries. They will have a very close interaction with the MD in his business development role.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of marketing activities
- Maintain and update customer database
- Prospect for new customers
- Liaise with internal colleagues - Engineering, production and finance
- Liaise with third parties and external agencies to the benefit of company.
- Meet deadlines and ensure deadlines of third parties are met.
- Write the marketing plan for their area and manage the marketing budget.
- Support the development of new products and services through surveying and anticipating customer's needs
- Co-ordination of sales meetings.
- Coordinate production and proofing of all promotional literature and direct mailing.
- Creating and managing targeted e-mail campaigns
- Undertaking market research on prospects and competitors in the key markets
- Ensure timely delivery of market intelligence, including monitoring press for relevant articles on customers, competitors, new developments within the machining industry etc.
Person specification:
Looking for a candidate with at least 2–3 years technical sales experience, in a similar role, with experience of initiating contact with the procurement departments of mult-national companies. An outgoing personality, with strong inter-personal skills. Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Well organised and capable of working under pressure. Highly motivated and ambitious, with a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint - knowledge of ACT would be an advantage.
English & local language to a native standard is essential. You should be an excellent writer and be able to identify what motivates customers.

High PC literacy
Marketing experience in a support capacity.
Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
